Atrani is a beautiful, small seaside village, with approx. 1000 inhabitants. It’s considered one of the gems of the Amalfi Coast and is greatly favored among travelers because of its stunning position on the beach at the entrance to the Dragone Valley, its picturesque narrow streets and lovely Piazzetta, and its tranquility and calm atmosphere.
The village has a good selection of bars and restaurants, that receive visitors also from other parts of the coast. You will also find a small grocery store, a butcher, a fishmonger, a fruit and vegetable store, a newsagent, among others. A ten minutes walk around the headland will take you to the larger and more lively Amalfi, where you’ll find what the shops in Atrani can’t provide. Amalfi is also a centre of public transportation, with boats or buses going to Capri, Cilento, Salerno, Naples, Pompei, Sorrento as well as the rest of the famous Amalfi Coast.
THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN AMALFI COAST

Amalfi Coast Terrace is situated in Atrani, one of the smallest and most beautiful villages on the enchanting Amalfi Coast. From their spacious terrace, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea, as well as over the villages rooftops, churches, and surrounding lemon groves. The house is decorated a Mediterranean style, both contemporary and traditional, with a mix of antique, new and built-in furniture. It’s ideal for one or two families, or for a group of friends.
THE SPACE
The villages quiet surroundings combined with easy access to public transport makes this an ideal base for exploring nearby Capri, Pompei and the rest of the Amalfi Coast. At the same time, Atrani is the perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday in summer, with the beach situated just steps away from the lovely little piazza.
BEDROOMS
Each of the houses two bedrooms has a double bed, plus a double mattress on a small mezzanine (in one of the rooms the mezzanine is suitable for two children or one adult, not ideal for two adults). In the living room the sofa doubles as two single beds. We also have two extra guest mattresses that may be available upon request, to make room for up to 12 people.
Downstairs you’ll find two bedrooms, each with a double bed and walk-in closet. A small mezzanine over the walk-in closets provides another bed space equipped with a double mattress, which makes the rooms ideal family rooms. A large bathroom (with washing machine) is accessible from the hall outside the bedrooms.
COMMON AREAS
The independent entrance from the street leads to the top floor, which consists of a kitchen with a small dining space, a connecting living room, and a small bathroom. The kitchen and the living rooms have glass doors that provide great views over the village and the sea and lead out to a large terrace with dining table, umbrellas, outdoor shower, deck chairs and a relax area with pergola.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The house can be reached by picturesque narrow alleyways with 100 steps from the beach or the piazza, or 90 steps from the main road. A porter service is available at check-in and check-out if arranged in advance, at an additional cost.
The Amalfi Coast Terrace is located in the middle of the village. You will have the sensation of taking part in village life, with the sounds of children playing, church bells, music, and conversations from one window to another across the alley below. Your stay here will give you the authentic Italian Almafi coast experience.
